He loves them. Terribly.

They're horrible, nasty secret monster-things that came from him somehow -they're a part of him somehow, but he loves them, and he's so proud of them. He nurtures them, and keeps them alive, keeps them strong, makes sure they grow and have room to live.

He's so proud of them. Even if they might actually devour or destroy the people close to him.
